How to bulk opt patients out of receiving messages

If your surgery uses the TPP SystmOne clinical system, you just need to opt patients out of SMS messaging from within their clinical record. The next time that Mjog performs an automatic import, the patient will be opted out.

If your surgery uses EMIS PCS or EMIS Web, you will need to follow this process:

  • From the Home Page of Mjog, click Settings:

  • Select Opt In/Out:

  • Click Bulk change the patient opt in/out preferences:

The Bulk Update of Consent Details screen prompts you to export a list of patients whom have opted out of text messaging from EMIS; you will need to create / run a report.

Once you have run the report, you will need to export it as a CSV file, with the columns formatted as shown below:

  • When you have saved the CSV file from the EMIS report, and formatted the columns as shown above, click Choose File.
  • Navigate to where you saved the CSV file and then click Upload.

Mjog will bulk exclude your patient list from receiving text / email / Voice messages (according to your Mjog subscriptions.
