All LIVI Laptops must have the EMIS Web Configuration Switcher enabled to ensure the correct updates/patches are applied.
Once enabled, the EMIS Configuration Switcher allows a user to switch between different EMIS Web organisations on the same device. The Switcher also stores these different organisations after you have logged in, allowing for a seamless transition between them when you need to change organisation.
Additionally, when an organisation is updated, the Configuration Switcher automatically downloads the most up to date version of EMIS Web (which is kept locally on that PC) when the user next switches to the organisation.
Windows 11
Click on the Windows Start Icon:
Select All apps >
Scroll down to EMIS folder and select Configuration Switcher:
Select Enable Switching (only required to do this once):
Enter the EMIS Organisation ID:
You only have to do this once for each organisation number. Next time you want to access the organisation, select it from the drop down list in the CDB field.
If the selected organisation requires a newer version of EMIS Web, this is automatically downloaded.
Windows 10
On your Windows desktop, click Start and select All Programs.
Click the EMIS folder.
Click Configuration Switcher
Application Location
The EMIS Web Configuration Switcher application location is:
C:\ProgramData\SDS\Version6\Applications\SDS Client:
SDS.Client.ConfigurationSwitcher.exe
To access the ProgramData folder you must select Show hidden files, folders, and drivers within the Folder Options/View area:
