Yes, you can. For now, you may need our help with this. We're always developing our platform, and you should be able to add pages yourselves later this year.
Why can't I add pages myself?
Practice Websites by Livi have been designed to be low maintenance. Most of our customers prefer to minimise the time they spend updating the website, and our platform has been optimised to require as little effort from you as possible.
Consequently, many pages can't be easily edited. We've done the hard work of creating the pages for you, including:
- Ensuring the design is accessible
- Ensuring the pages conform to NHS guidelines
- Ensuring the page is easy to read
- Testing the page with patients to ensure they understand what's on the page
- Reviewing analytics data to identify how the page can be improved
How do I get a page added to my website?
Simply contact our support team.
Please make sure you attach any relevant information to your support ticket, including any draft text. Our support team will then:
- Review your request with the Livi content team
- Provide suggestions, where appropriate, on how the page could be structured
- Send you a draft for your approval before we add the page to your website
Why do you need to edit what I've sent you?
Our team have decades of experience in developing information for patients that is easy to understand and accessible for as many people as possible. We want your website to be loved by your patients and pass every audit with flying colours.
How can I speed up the process of getting a page added?
To help us to get your new page live as quickly as possible, please:
- Attach any draft text to your support request
- Consider whether you want to add some, or all, of the information as a policy or news story. You can do this yourself already
- Try to split up your information into relevant sections. In general, you should aim for one topic area per page
- Check that your text has a reading age of 9 to 11 years old. You can paste it into the Hemingway web app to do this. We recognise that this will not be possible for some medical information
When will I be able to add pages myself?
We're currently working on a way for our customers to add pages themselves. We're working hard to make this as simple as possible, and provide you with the tools you need to create great web pages.
We expect it to be available later this year.
